365 Project - Day 27

February 27th, Day 27:

On this day I went to ladies night at the Blazing Onion in Gig Harbor with my friend Jessica and her friend Mellie. I had a wonderful time with these ladies and I am very happy I went with them.  We ordered drinks and chatted about life.  I haven't gone out for ladies night in a long time and I really enjoyed spending time just talking and enjoying the company of two lovely people.

I am very glad I went and hope to do it again in the future.

365 Project - Day 26

February 26th, Day 26:

For the 26th I am posting these two photos. The first I took right after I used a gift certificate to get my eyebrows tinted. Fletch was so sweet and got me a gift certificate to a salon so I could treat myself. When I told my mother she was concerned that I dyed them some crazy color. I sent her the photo with my green eyebrows to show off my new look. She laughed for almost five minutes straight. That is why I am sharing this second photo. Though it is not very flattering, it does remind me of my mother's laugh. Sometimes we find joy in small interactions with those we love. On this day it was talking with my mother and hearing her beautiful laugh for so long.

365 Project - Day 25

February 25th, Day 25:

For February 25th I am sharing two photos. It was my birthday and I want to share two things that brought joy to my day. First off, my parents sent me this beautiful baby blue type writer! Isn't that pretty?

My second photo is a birthday surprise that my friend and coworker, Jessica, had waiting for me at work. 

I had the best birthday imaginable! I have amazing people around me and everyone honestly made me feel very special and loved. I am thankful for having so many wonderful, loving people in my life.

365 Project - Days 22, 23, & 24

February 22, Day 22:

This is a make your own camera kit for a twin reflex camera. I had a great time making this with Fletch and look forward to seeing how the photos turn out!! It was a lot of work but totally worth it for the finished product.

 February 23, Day 23:

For my birthday Fletch took me to Portland. We had a great time driving around and seeing the city. Portland has many beautiful bridges and this is just one of them that I captured.

February 20th, Day 20:

This is a delicious brownie from Corina Bakery. Fletch and I went and treated ourselves.

This is my sweet little Ramona. She is a dwarf hamster and likes to keep to herself. I love watching her run in her little wheel.

February 18th, Day 18:

If you know me then you know that I love Cold Stone ice cream. Fletch surprised me and brought me to Cold Stone to cheer me up. I have the best boyfriend!

February 19th, Day 19:

I enjoyed a nice quiet evening at home with Fletch and Lily. These are the nights I love the best. Spending time relaxing with my family.

365 Project - Day 16

February 16th, Day 16:

 Today I want to appreciate a location where I spend a lot of time. This cute little area featured above. This is where I have my photos, cameras, jewelery, and pretty much everything else I use day to day. I don't really take time to look at it and appreciate the ease it provides me by just simply being there. I have a place to put everything I love.

February 14th, Day 14:

Yesterday was Valentine's Day and it was wonderful. Fletch surprised me with flowers and chocolate and planned a lovely evening for us. I am so happy that I have him!!

February 15th, Day 15:

I know I am only supposed to do one photo but I couldn't fit these both in one photo. These were Fletch's gifts to me. He made me a card to cheer me up and made a card for the gift certificates he purchased for me. His actions really cheered me up and I am so thankful to have him.

365 Project - Day 13

February 13th, Day 13:

Yesterday was a difficult day. I won't go into the details. Fletch came to cheer me up for lunch. While trying to decide where to go I started looking at the bulletin board located in front of my building. I saw this. A stranger posted a flyer with words of encouragement. This small act of kindness really made me feel better, in addition to Fletch's company. I decided to take appreciation. I hold this small piece of paper in my purse. Throughout the day I looked at it to remind myself of the joy in life. I know I will be alright.

365 Project - Day 12

February 12th, Day 12:

To be honest, today was difficult. We all have those days. Days where nothing seems to go right. Days when you just can't seem to cheer up. That was me today. I won't go into the details why but, it wasn't nice. Then I remembered I had bought these cute little cupcakes for Fletch and I. While it didn't completely brighten my day it did make me feel a little better. I enjoyed the first few bites with Fletch while on his lunch break then finished it back at home. It is now my bed time and I still feel down but I go to bed with the peace of mind knowing that my entire day was not a complete bust. It is the small moments that make life worth while. I am so thankful to have Fletch. He always knows how to make me smile.
