Summer Lovin' with the Holga 135bc

Hello beautifuls! I told you about the Holga 135bc before and I have continued to take photos with it. Here are some new photos that have been taken over the past few months. I really enjoy these photos so please, tell me what you think!

Don't have a lomo camera or an iPhone?

Well, I have a solution for you! I recently rediscovered Photobucket. I used this site a lot when I was younger to share photos and store them but now I use it for simple editing! If you love the look of lomography photos then you should try this site out for your editing. It is super simple and you can add fun frames. Not only can you use this site to store photos and edit but you can also order the photos that you upload and edit.

I took this photo with my Nikon P310 and edited it using Photobucket. I really like the way it turned out! I put a filter over top of the photo and also added a vignette. I think this is a great site!

Minimo-X

This is my Minimo-X camera. 

I purchased it on the four corner store website. This is a digital camera that produces a wonderful vignetting feature and color distortion. It not only takes photos but also records video! Another fun feature of this camera is the fact that you can double expose images! This is a unique feature to this little digital camera.  I am loving this little camera! It has a built in battery that can be easily charged by plugging it into the computer. For storage you can use a MiniSD Disk.

My Holga!

This is a Holga 135bc.

  It shoots 35mm film and creates a vignetting feature. This is due to the lens. The lens is made in a way to create a tunneling affect so that more light hits the center and not the edges. I really enjoy the vignetting feature because it gives photos a bit of a more vintage feel. Another fun feature of this camera is the fact that you can double expose your film. The photo below is a photo that I accidentally double exposed by simply not advancing the film. This was an accident but I love the way the photo turned out.

Chocolate Camera

This is my adorable chocolate camera!

This little beauty is made by the same company as the biscuit camera and can be purchased on the four corner store website.  It produces similar photos to the biscuit camera. A nice feature of this little delight is that it will not take photos if there isn't enough light! It comes with a USB cord and has a rechargeable internal battery.
 I love this little camera not only for the design but also for the convenience. I can bring it with me everywhere! I like using it for landscape photos and distant photos with individuals.

Golden Rules of Lomography

These are the ten golden rules of lomography. I found these on the lomography website.

1.Take your camera everywhere!

2. Use it day and night

3. Lomography is not an interference in your life, but part of it

4. Try to shoot from the hip

5. Approach the objects of your lomographic desire as close as possible

I love using my lomo cameras everywhere. I try to take at least one with me every where I go. This is why I love having my small digital toy cameras. They are perfect on the go.

I first fell in love with lomography photography about four years ago. I played around with a Holga but never went beyond that. For the last year I have been buying more and more lomography cameras and toy cameras. I find the results that they produce beautiful. Every time I get film processed it is a little thrill because you never know what you will get.

This blog will be dedicated to sharing my photos and cameras. I will also provide information on where I purchased the products I use. To start, I will share my favorite camera.

This is my biscuit camera. 

I purchased this camera from Four Corner Store. They sell loads of different cameras. They sell both film and digital. Most of their cameras are items that you would have a hard time finding on your own. I love this store and have bought four cameras from them.

The biscuit camera produces grainy images with distorted color. What I love the most about the camera is the size and style. It looks like a small cookie! It comes with a key chain but I removed the key chain and replaced it with a chain. I can now wear it as a necklace and can capture an image in an instant.
